Situated on the Cumbria Way (you have to walk past our back door!) between Coniston and Skelwith Bridge, High Park Farmhouse commands a spectacular view of the Little Langdale valley with the Langdale Pikes beyond.
What we think you will appreciate more than anything else is the silence that descends on the valley in the evening. (That silence includes the fact that there is no mobile phone reception.) Then you can sit outside in the garden on the hammock and watch the sun setting as you plan your next days walking.
We offer our guests a comfortable double room with its own separate bathroom. The bedroom has a king size bed, Freeview TV and wonderful views. The bathroom has both a bath with lots of hot water and an electric shower. WIFI is also available so that you can keep in touch if you wish.
We do not offer an evening meal, but can recommend a number of places to eat within reasonable walking distance of our house.
We have drying facilities as it has been known to rain here, and bikes can also be stored safely if you wish.
Whether you stay with us for one night on your long walk along the Cumbria Way, or you park your car and decide to stay with us for a few nights while you enjoy the fantastic array of different walks available from or doorstep, we know that you will have a wonderful time here.
Bed and Breakfast is available for £35 per person per night.
